Hi to everyone;
Everyone is home and safe. Once again we can relax and think about the fun we had and laugh again.
Jared made it to St. George and Maddie was too sick to go on. They ended up in the ER, where she had IV's and was given a diagnosis of Adenovirus,(which is a tough bug) After 5 hrs. they were released and went home. Jeanette drove up and met them and was there to help through the ordeal. More details from Jared or Jeanette.
Jennifer's trip went smoothly and she arrived home safely. Rain in Greensboro but it hadn't frozen on the roads so she got lucky. Kids had a two hour delay for school, so the the freeze hit later.
Jaelyn and I had a smooth flight but after Dad picked us up we went through a pretty heavy pea sized hail storm. We arrived in time to say our last good-byes to Kiska. She was too ill to eat for at least three days and couldn't stand up. The vet came to the house and took care of her. It was sad. She has been a good dog.
Becky and Stephanie got home just as Todd had dinner on the table so they had a nice meal awaiting them. Scott got there in time to eat also. Traffic wasn't too bad.
Lisa had a little delay before her flight left but all was smooth after that. The motion sickness medicine that Jaelyn gave her really helped her a lot.
Sheila had an uneventful trip home and is out today working on a service project. They had a little accident with cars while she was gone, otherwise things are good.
We need to remember to check the blog and update with news or thoughts.

ReplyDeleteMaddie is on the mend now. After recieving fluid and anti diarrheal meds in the ER she bounced back pretty fast. Poor thing was really sick. However, Jared, Emily and Rebecca are home sick today with fevers, coughs, sore throats and stomach pains. It is such a bummer! I have the windows open and am going around with clorox wipes, wiping everything they touch! I don't want that ugly bug and Tanner has Sadie Hawkins and finals so he's really hoping that bug skips right on by him. Me too. Diabetes and viruses don't do well together.
Thank you for the sweet note you left. I put it in my journal. Its my only memento since I didn't take any pictures. Can you post some on here when you get a chance?
I went out and bought the bananagrams game the night you all left (we were picking up Maddie's prescriptions so when I found it I convinced Jared of how fun it was and he agreed to buy it too. The kids and I have enjoyed it very much! Jared wants to play too!
